Cultivated mushroom production increased by 16% in 2021

Over the past few years, mushroom farming in Russia has become one of the most developing areas.The volume and quality of domestic products are growing steadily, and Russian and foreign consumers are increasingly preferring them. In 2021, the production of mushrooms in the country increased by at least 16% and exceeded 100 thousand tons.
The leading regions for their cultivation are the Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Tula, and Kaluga Regions. Mushroom farming is also developing rapidly in the Leningrad, Voronezh, and Moscow Regions.
Preferential short-term and investment lending is the main state support measure for domestic producers.
