Russia has harvested 100 million tonnes of grain

Grain harvesting in Russia is nearing its final stage. As of 16 September, domestic farmers have harvested 100 million tonnes of grain from an area of 37.8 million hectares. 

There have been threshed 71.1 million tonnes of wheat, 17.6 million tonnes of barley, and 1.4 million tonnes of maize for grain. Farmers also harvested 2.6 million tonnes of sunflower, 1.8 million tonnes of rapeseed, 897 thousand tonnes of soybean, 6.6 million tonnes of sugar beet, 2.2 million tonnes of potatoes, and 1.9 million tonnes of open field vegetables.

Several regions have begun sowing winter crops for the 2022 harvest. It has already covered 8.8 million hectares, which is comparable to last year's pace.
