Russian wines won 43 medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021

At the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021, one of the world's largest and most influential wine competitions, Russian wines won 43 medals, including Platinum and Gold. 11 wineries from the Krasnodar and Rostov regions submitted their production to the contest.
Almost 170 expert wine judges, including Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers, tasted over 18 thousand wines from 56 countries. Russia won its second ever Platinum medal for the private winery Shumrinka’s wine with the highest score of 97 out of 100 among the country’s participants. The Sauk Dere winery took Gold medal, and the most awards among Russian producers went to sparkling and still wines from the Abrau Durso collection.
Decanter World Wine Awards took place in London for the 18th year in a row, trusted internationally for its rigorous judging process.
