26 Apr, 2020
April 26, 2020. The 7 million ton non-tariff quota for grain exports from Russia specified on April 1 is exhausted.
In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 385 as of March 31, 2020, as soon as the wheat shipments declared as a part of the grain quota is exported, the further supplies of wheat, meslin, rye, barley and corn to the non-members of the Eurasian Economic Union shall be ceased until July 1, 2020. FCS has stopped issuing new export declarations.
Such a restrictive measure is applied to stabilize grain prices and to ensure the RF domestic needs for grain and its processed products. At the same time, according to the Ministry, the restrictions would not affect the accomplishment of the goals fixed in the current national agriprograms, as well as the totals of Russian agricultural export in 2020.
